About Mather
I am a current undergraduate at University College London and a graduate from a Lycée Français in the United States. I spent part of my middle and high school years in Central Africa, speaking French on a daily basis. I have taught French at a well-known international school on a seasonal basis since my graduation and have effectively developed lesson plans and focused on language maintenance and learning, becoming experienced in adjusting plans based on student-specific language needs.

Lessons focus on learning French in a way I know to work: a combination of immersive and active language production and a study of structure, grammar, and vocabulary. Just as important, a clear focus on pronunciation and vocabulary matters to truly advance French level. Moreover, the mannerisms, style, culture, and spoken-language of the francophonie are emphasized as a driver of fluency.
I myself learned French at the age of 13 and now speak it fluently and teach it to a range of age groups across beginner and immersion settings at both international schools and non-profits (pro bono work).
Lessons are intended for those pursuing French B (International Bac), French ab initio (International Bac), GCSE French, High School French, AP French, or any age seeking to improve their French speaking abilities.
I have particular experience teaching primary school ages and adults.
