About Elle
I have 8 years of experience teaching French, holding a B.A in French Language & Literature and an M.A in French Cultural Studies. I have taught learners from absolute beginners to advanced students, supporting them in conversational fluency, grammar mastery, reading comprehension, and cultural understanding. My teaching philosophy emphasises interactive, immersive, and engaging instruction to foster meaningful learning and long-term progress.
I focus on patience, adaptability, and encouragement in lessons. Activities include grammar exercises, vocabulary drills, reading, conversation practice, and cultural exploration to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Students are encouraged to participate actively, experiment with language, and develop confidence in expression.

I adapt each lesson to the student’s proficiency and objectives. Beginners focus on foundational grammar, vocabulary, basic sentence structures, pronunciation, and conversational phrases. Intermediate learners refine grammar, expand vocabulary, practise comprehension, and engage in dialogues. Advanced students tackle complex syntax, idiomatic expressions, literary texts, debates, translation, and advanced conversation. Personalised exercises, detailed feedback, and real-world application ensure steady progress and mastery.
Studying French develops communication skills, cultural awareness, and expressive confidence. Students gain the ability to converse fluently, understand cultural contexts, and engage with language in meaningful ways.
