About Thomas
My grandmother being a writer and a high school French teacher, I grew up in a family passionate about French and other languages. I deeply appreciate learning and teaching languages, discovering their specificities and how they have evolved over time.
About why I am coming to NYC, I am completing my college degree with an audit internship in Manhattan. As I am new to the city, I think giving French lessons will be a great way to meet people!
I am 24, outgoing, sporty, and passionate about arts. I would love to find common interests to discuss during our lessons. Plus, if you are planning a trip to Paris, I know the best spots!

My lessons are more of a conversation between the student and myself. They rely on key grammatical and conjugation concepts to use in real-life situations. I try to adapt my method to the student, sometimes I am the one taking the notes to keep the discussion flowing, other times the student takes notes because it helps him memorize. My past experience allow me to confidently say that I can teach French to people from every age and level.
My goal is for the student to feel confident enough to engage in conversations with other French speakers. In addition, I believe handwriting is essential when learning a language, even more with French. Therefore, I give very little assignments for the student to complete in writing.
