About Ritchel
Hello! My name is Ritchel, and I am a passionate and experienced English tutor dedicated to helping students achieve their language-learning goals. With more than five years of teaching experience, I have worked with learners from diverse backgrounds, age groups, and proficiency levels. Throughout my teaching journey, I have developed a student-centered approach that focuses on building confidence, improving communication skills, and making learning both effective and enjoyable.
One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching for me is working with children and young learners. I genuinely enjoy helping students develop their English skills and gain confidence in expressing themselves. Over the years, I have taught Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, and American children, helping them improve their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. Watching young learners grow, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals is one of the reasons I love teaching.
In addition to teaching children, I have also worked with professionals who wanted to enhance their English communication skills for business and career development. Many of my students use English in their daily work for client meetings, presentations, negotiations, emails, and international business interactions. Helping professionals communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and professionalism has been a rewarding part of my teaching experience. This has enabled me to adapt my teaching methods to meet the needs of a wide range of learners, from young beginners to experienced professionals.
I am currently a second-year law student at Silliman University, a prestigious institution recognized as the first American private Protestant institution of higher learning in both the Philippines and Asia. Pursuing a legal education has reinforced the importance of commitment, discipline, professionalism, integrity, and continuous learning. The rigorous demands of law school have taught me to manage responsibilities effectively, communicate clearly, and approach every task with dedication and attention to detail.
As a tutor, I take pride in being patient, approachable, and dependable. I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to meet individual needs and goals.
