About Mimi
I am currently an English Literature student at a Russell Group university and am deeply passionate about the subject. I am committed to improving students' confidence and helping each and every one of them discover genuine enjoyment in studying English.
As a dyslexic student, I found English overwhelming and frustrating throughout primary and secondary school. However, through determination and hard work, I was able to overcome these challenges and develop a genuine passion for the subject.
This experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges that students can face, as well as the confidence that, with the right support and encouragement, they can exceed their own expectations. My goal as a tutor is to help students develop not only their skills but also the self-belief to achieve their full potential. I am open to working with all abilities and confidence levels.

Lessons are taught online via FaceTime and Google Documents. I can offer one or two hour lessons. I aim to make every student feel valued, capable and intelligent and, in my current work, place emphasis on an accessible and interactive approach to English using frequent high energy games and colour coding activities to keep lessons fresh and focused. I believe every child, no matter the extent to which they may struggle with English, has the capacity to succeed when nurtured and encouraged and I would love to expand my work to new students.
