About Scarlett
Hi! I’m Scarlett, a French, Spanish and Portuguese student at the University of Cambridge with a genuine love for languages. Outside of my degree, you’ll usually find me learning another language (I’m currently teaching myself Arabic!), so I completely understand both the joys and challenges of language learning.
I’m also a huge music lover and enjoy discovering artists from all over the world. I think one of the best ways to learn a language is by engaging with its culture, whether that’s through music, films, podcasts or books. I’d love to chat about your favourite French songs or recommend some of my own, so that French becomes something you enjoy using in everyday life, not just a school subject.
Above all, I aim to make my lessons relaxed, encouraging and enjoyable. My goal is to help students build confidence and develop a genuine enthusiasm for French alongside achieving their academic goals.

I offer friendly, supportive and personalised French lessons tailored to each student’s goals, whether you’re preparing for GCSE or A-Level exams, building confidence in speaking, or learning French from scratch.
My lessons are designed to be engaging and interactive, with a focus on developing all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner, helping students gain confidence while strengthening their grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
As a current French student at the University of Cambridge, I understand what it takes to succeed in language learning and enjoy sharing effective study techniques that have helped me achieve a Grade 9 at GCSE, an A* at A-Level and First-Class honours in my university studies.
