About James
I'm eager to help students in their academic and personal development and willing to go the extra mile to facilitate this.
I have 4+ years of experience in teaching, both paid and voluntary. I have taught both adults and children DJ'ing, Tennis and Art, in groups and individually. Through this I have learnt valuable leadership and communication skills, how to instil discipline, give personalised feedback to each individual, and foster curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm to motivate students to learn.
I have a history of strong academic performance including a BA from Bristol University and attending two well regarded grammar schools, Saint Olave's and Newstead Wood, for which I can help with the entrance tests, as well as tests for other schools.

James had been working with our 11 year old son for around 18 months. They have formed a good rapport and James helped him to obtain offers from three of the four Year 7 entrance exams he took last year. James has a good knowledge of current curriculums and syllabuses, 11+ etc, and is a flexible and attentive tutor.
