I base my classes on the exam board specification in order to supply the student with all the necessary information to do the exams. For chemistry I will use ‘mygcsescience’ video notes and textbook information( as well as my own notes).Additionally for maths, I would teach each part of the maths specification and then will provide multiple practice questions to secure your knowledge.
I approach each student as an individual, working on areas of each topic that students need support with to improve their grades.
In my lessons, I like to explain a method/ topic in depth to build an understanding. I like to ask questions during this, to evaluate the students initial understanding of the topic. This is followed by questions/exam-style questions for the students to work out.
I am passionate about teaching and my interest in teaching is a result of passion for the subjects I teach. My teaching method involves invoking the student’s intellectual curiosity in order to keep them engaged. I believe in encouraging students to revise what has been done earlier with them.
