About Kevin
I am semi-retired with a background in EFL as well as Mainstream. I have many years of working overseas with college/university/ management level students working towards all Cambridge Exams (IELTS, FCE, CAE and Proficiency). I offer Individual and small class programmes from home as well as online support for Beginners to Advanced including College/University prep courses. I am a polite and friendly person who enjoys teaching and learning with all my students in a warm and informal class environment. I aim for you to achieve your aims and I feel as proud as you do when you succeed! Every student is unique with different strengths and weaknesses. I work towards improving these strengths and concentrate, in particular, upon the difficulties students find in learning English whether it is reading, writing, listening or speaking. I use various methods and materials including a bank of original materials (not just textbooks) I have produced and used over the years. I encourage all my students to do their best, regardless of their ability, and I always set homework to reinforce lessons and inspire confidence. I work towards achieving a good rapport with all my students and always based upon mutual respect. I feel I have been very successful as many of my ex-students have become friends as well as good students. My last 3 students achieved good IELTS grades (university entrance level at 6.5 and 7.0) and my success can perhaps be measured by the fact that my last company was a multi-national oil company who employed me for the last 10 years for all their English teaching.

Perfect! Kevin is a fantastic teacher! He makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. I really enjoy his lessons and he inspires you to learn more and to be confident in your language ability. The lessons were always very instructive, interesting and challenging. Kevin structures the lessons to suit what he sees as my learning needs, taking into account the goals that I have set for myself and he always asks me if there is any topic I feel I have problems with.
Kevin was really encouraging and kept me very motivated and I always looked forward to the next lessons. Moreover, Kevin is not just a great teacher but he has also become a very good friend.
I would honestly and really recommend Kevin to anyone who would like to learn English or improve yourself or get prepared for an exam. Especially in my case, Kevin helped me to improve my academic language skills and my business English as I’m an accountant.- Stephanie was the perfect student in every way. She has a much better command of English than she thinks she has and I hope she continues her studies and takes the CAE exam at some point in the future.
