About Darby
Hi! I’m a young musician with experience in both piano and clarinet, and I’m passionate about helping beginners enjoy learning music in a supportive and relaxed environment.
I have developed my musical skills through studying performance, music theory, and participating in orchestras and wind bands, which has helped me build confidence, teamwork, and musicianship. One of the reasons I love music is because I see it as another language for musicians — a way to communicate emotions and ideas without words.
I want to teach because I enjoy helping others build confidence and discover enjoyment in music. I understand that learning an instrument can feel difficult at first, so I aim to create lessons that are patient, encouraging, and adapted to each student’s pace.
Outside of teaching, I continue to develop my own musical abilities and enjoy exploring different styles of music and performance.
I could also provide lessons in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Hi! I’m a friendly young piano tutor offering fun and relaxed lessons for beginners and younger students. I enjoy helping people build confidence at the piano and making music feel enjoyable rather than stressful.
Lessons are tailored to each student and can include:
-Learning songs
-Reading sheet music
-Rhythm and timing
-Basic technique
-Practice tips and building confidence
I’m patient, supportive, and happy to work at your own pace. Whether you’re completely new to piano or just starting out, I’ll do my best to make lessons comfortable, motivating, and enjoyable.
I hold qualifications from the exam board ABRSM, including Grade 8 practical piano passed, and Grade 5 music theory passed.
Alongside piano, I also study clarinet and hold music qualifications, which has helped me develop a broader understanding of music theory, rhythm, listening skills, and overall musicianship.
Could offer lessons in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
