About Gail
Teaching piano grew out of my 13 years performing in musical theater. I accompany my vocal students and eventually found that they needed keyboard skills to support their own growth. My BM from Boston Conservatory at Berklee provides the technical foundation for all my instruction.
I work with teens, kids, and adults who want to master pop, jazz, or classical styles. Hand independence is a hurdle. I specialize in making ear training and music theory accessible for those who have never touched a keyboard.
Sight reading and scales often intimidate my students at first. We tackle these challenges together. My 13 years of experience allow me to adapt to your unique pace. I enjoy seeing students find their own musical voice.

You should not expect to play a full concerto during our first meeting. The beginning of our work together focuses on finding a comfortable seat and learning the layout of the keys. I use weekly practice modules assigned with every class to keep your progress moving forward.
My 13 years of experience in the industry help me break down complex topics like pedalling technique and improvisation. Absolute beginners and grade exam candidates receive the same attention to detail. We balance the rigor of arpeggios with the joy of playing contemporary music.
Whether you are a teen or an adult, I focus on building a sustainable connection to the instrument. Learning the mechanics of rhythm and theory makes the music feel more alive. Having a structured path to follow makes the actual playing process genuinely fun.
