About Varun
I'm Varun Bora, a university graduate working as a junior electrical engineer with a passion for part-time tutoring. Outside of work and academics, I love hitting the gym, playing sports (cricket, volleyball and table tennis to name a few), and spending time with my family!
My passion for mathematics and sciences coupled with my never-give-up attitude inspires people around me to seek greater challenges and work towards becoming the best version of themselves.
I've tutored and mentored both high school and university students for the past 7 years and will continue to do so as I love helping others and seeing them grow.

I specialize in tutoring in Math's and Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) for students up to Year 13, both NCEA Level 3 and Cambridge A Levels, I stand out as I share an understanding of real-world applications of what's being taught giving my students a better understanding of what career they want to pursue (as well as amazing grades!).
Over the past four years, I have tutored high school students, both privately and through a company. I have also tutored university students in electrical engineering. Furthermore, I volunteer at BAPS Charities and have been mentoring youth for over seven years.
With a First-Class Honors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Auckland, along with receiving the 2018 DUX award at Avondale College (for being the top scholar), I can assure you that I have a wealth of knowledge and techniques to share, helping you reach new academic heights.
I typically prefer tutoring in one-hour sessions, as it allows my students to retain more information without feeling overwhelmed. However, I am flexible with this, as I understand the stress and time constraints associated with exams.
