About Keira
I’ve always enjoyed geography—at school, through university, and later in my career, where I applied the skills and knowledge I developed as a geographer while working in government. My interest has only grown over time, not just because I’ve come to appreciate the value of geographical thinking, but also because travelling has given me the chance to see real-world geography in action. Experiencing different landscapes, cultures, and environments first-hand has strengthened my understanding of global issues and deepened my passion for the subject. As geographical challenges such as climate change, migration, and urbanisation become ever more significant in our everyday lives, I’ve become increasingly committed to sharing this knowledge with others. I became a geography teacher because I wanted to help students develop these valuable skills while gaining a clearer understanding of their own place in the world.

I am a full-time Geography teacher at a leading grammar school, offering high-quality private tutoring for GCSE and A-Level students. With strong subject knowledge, a genuine passion for the natural world, and extensive experience helping learners build confidence and exam technique, I support students in achieving outstanding results. I specialise in GCSE and A-Level Geography across all exam boards, providing targeted help with exam skills, essay writing, and case-study knowledge, as well as stretch and challenge for higher-level learners and supportive guidance for those who need to grow their confidence. My students consistently make excellent progress and regularly exceed their target grades. Friendly, skilled, and committed to helping every learner succeed, I offer tailored sessions designed to bring out the best in each student. Alongside subject tutoring, I also provide dedicated support with UCAS applications, including personal statement guidance tailored to geography-related courses and beyond. I offer practice interviews, help students articulate their strengths confidently, and provide structured feedback to improve clarity, impact, and self-presentation. Many of my students have gone on to secure places at competitive universities, and I am committed to helping each individual present the very best version of themselves.
