About Jonah
Hello, my name is Jonah! I'm a first-year college student living in Los Angeles, fully bilingual in French and English. Growing up in vibrant international communities, I had the pleasure of making friends from all over the world, enriching my cultural understanding and language skills. I graduated from the International School of Los Angeles, which equipped me with a strong foundation in both languages and cultures. My passion for teaching French stems from my love for the language and my frequent trips to France every other summer, where I immerse myself in the culture. In addition to my academic pursuits, I'm passionate about soccer, fashion, dogs and traveling. These interests allow me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and bring a global perspective to my tutoring sessions. My goal is to adjust to my students' needs. **Help with Homework or AP French** As a student who received a 5 on AP French, I can provide tools and experience that have helped me reach that score. We can go over grammar, vocabulary and various strategies to improve grades. **Improving French fluency** I believe in a communicative approach to language learning, focusing on practical usage and real-life scenarios. My techniques include conversation practice on diverse topics, and multimedia resources to engage students and reinforce learning. **What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:** I grew up in a French-speaking family and attended French international schools my whole life. I also received the IB Diploma taking French Higher Level and receiving a 5 on the AP French exam.
