I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with 8 years experience.
I have 4 years experience tutoring a wide range of children. I am a confident, friendly and reliable individual who pays attention to not only academic but also emotional development, always placing children at the centre of learning.
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher, registered with the General Teaching Council Scotland. I hold Enhanced CRB Disclosure. I have worked full-time in both Glasgow and London for 8 years. I have experience in teaching children from all age groups and was Literacy Coordinator for 2 years in my previous post. Outside of a school setting I have experience in tutoring both music when in my 6th year at secondary school and English when living in Argentina. I have been awarded Grade 5 Music Theory, Grade 8 Piano and Grade 5 Oboe certificates.
I strongly believe that learning should be enjoyable and ensure that my tuition is both personalised and active. I take time to build good working relationships with all my pupils as I think that happy and relaxed learners are successful learners. I am experienced in teaching children with a wide range of barriers to learning which has taught me to be flexible and creative in the way that I teach.
In September I will start studying for an MSc in Educational Psychology at the University of Strathclyde in order to pursue my interest in supporting children to reach their potential.
