About Lukas
I studied at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, and have toured with numerous acts including Brad Stank and Hannah's Little Sister, supporting artists such as Hers, Gus Dapperton, Trash, Ralph TV, and Henge. My personal playing style tends to fall somewhere between dreamy blues, reggae, jazz and psychedelia, with a focus on free improvisation.

Hi there! With 18 years of guitar experience, my teaching tends to be focused on (but not limited to) blues, funk, and psychedelic styles. Think Parliament Funkadelic, Hendrix, Zappa, Bootsy, ranging to pretty much anything under the sun.
Having taught for 12+ years in one to one lessons, my teaching preference is for a loosely structured approach mixing both traditional theoretical knowledge with occasional improvisation/jams to give space to explore what you've learned in a practical yet easygoing and forgiving environment. I tend to personalise lessons based on what the student is looking to take away from the experience, for some a strict lesson plan works best and for some simply asking what they have been working on and helping to evolve that progress has a more meaningful impact. Don't be afraid to tell me what you want, I will do my best to help you grow in the way that YOU want to learn!
