I love to approach the guitar from a different angle with all of my students. I use alternative methods such as open tunings to help beginner and intermediate students approach the guitar more creatively. This helps them feel good about how they sound and become inspired to play more. The more you play the better you get.
The teaching method depends completely on the student, I would generally take it easy but if I see a strong response we'll be working hard ! I'm still learning myself so I never get bothered in going through concepts someone still needs to learn.
My teaching method is based on individual profiling and requirements in line with the current skill level of the player. I do also provide insight and explanation of the nature of harmony and music theory in general in conjunction with song writing techniques and attention to the natural setting of the instrument within the band.
I teach guitar and bass to all levels of ability and can cover almost any style. Filthy funk bass lines, atmospheric guitar improvisation, the fundamentals of jazz or blues, composition and music theory, performance psychology and anything else besides: I can help you explore any aspect of music.
I teach beginner to intermediate for guitar or music theory. I start with the basics of guitar playing, then guided by where in music a student is passionate, give them step by step help to progress towards what interests them but with a firm understanding of broader concepts of music.
I base my classes on what the student wished to gain from the lessons (This can be theory, Technique, Improvisation or educating on tone). I aim to make lessons fun and musical. Lessons will usually focus on implementing techniques to a song rather than just working on technical exercises all the time.
Enthusiastic, hard working, dependable and knows what it is like being a music student and from personal experience what the do's and don'ts are. I believe in a very practical method of teaching, getting the student playing soon but at there own speed.
I base my classes on the students music preferences. I listen to what kind of music you want to be able to play in advance then will teach relevant technical skills and practice methods so you can shred those songs you've always wanted to learn.
I am very passionate about music and the theory that encompasses it, I love teaching. I can teach any genre and I would be happy to teach you anything you wanted to learn.
