Experienced Biology tutor and medical student at King’s College London. Confident teaching all major UK syllabi for Biology IGCSE/GCSE and A-Level.
I also provide advice on application to UK Medical School. My specialty is interview practice, however upon request may be able to help with other stages of the application procedure (such as choosing a medical school).
As a tutor, my qualifications include 3 A-levels & 1 Pre-U. I attained an A* in A-level Maths and an A each in Biology and Chemistry. I also received 9A*s and 2As at GCSE level (with an A* in Biology). I have been able to take my passion for Biology to the next level through my medical studies at King’s College London, a degree I thoroughly enjoy.
Tutoring English as well as my Pre-U in English has honed my communication skills and taught me how to quickly build a productive bond with my tutees. This allows me to assess what students really need help with and determine the best way to aid them.
I love working with people (it's why I chose medicine) and I believe both patients and my tutees appreciate my cheerful and enthusiastic approach. Previous students have described me as a ‘fun’ and ‘patient’ tutor.
I had a very positive and successful experience as a tutee and this has shown me what a considerable benefit tuition can provide if done in the correct way. It feels extremely rewarding to pass this on to others.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
I state I am an experienced tutor as a result of 200+ hours private tutoring, mainly in Biology. I have also spent 40+ hours tutoring EAL (English as an Additional Language) and a week as a teacher at Great Lakes School, Uganda. Both of the previous were as part of volunteering initiatives.
On providing application advice for Medical School I have a wealth of experience. Aside from securing a place to study medicine myself, I have since been involved in a programme intended to widen participation in medicine. The project operates out of the greater Birmingham area and provides interview practice to students of local state schools with ambitions to study medicine.
