About Taryna
Hi, I’m Taryna!
Music has been part of my life since I was a child — I started playing guitar when I was 8 years old, and it quickly became one of my favorite ways to express creativity. As an adult, I finally reached a lifelong goal of learning piano as well, which gave me a deep understanding of what it feels like to learn a new instrument later in life.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in education, as well as multiple ESL certifications. With over 10 years of teaching experience working in elementary schools, running a music school, and teaching students online, I’ve developed a teaching approach that is both structured and encouraging.
My background as a teacher helps me break down music concepts in a way that makes them clear, fun, and easy to understand, whether you're just starting out or have prior experience.
As a mom and farmer, I value patience, encouragement, and creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning and making mistakes. Watching students grow in confidence and discover the joy of making music is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

My lessons focus on helping students build strong piano skills while learning to read and understand music.
Many of my students begin with little or no experience and gradually develop the confidence to read sheet music and play a wide variety of songs.
Unlike methods that rely only on memorizing notes or patterns, my lessons help students understand how music works from the ground up, making it easier to continue learning and progressing over time.
We work through a structured curriculum designed to build important skills step-by-step, including note reading, rhythm, technique, and musical expression. Students also have opportunities to play songs they enjoy and request as they continue developing their skills.
My Approach
• Lessons follow a clear curriculum so students make steady progress
• I adapt lessons to each student's pace and learning style
• I create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel confident learning new skills
What a Typical Lesson Might Include
Reviewing previous songs and concepts
Learning new material from the curriculum
Practicing reading sheet music and developing technique
For younger students, lessons may also include games and creative activities to make learning fun and engaging.
My goal is to help students not only learn piano, but also develop confidence, musical understanding, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Perfect! I've been working with Taryna for 2 months now and she has been very helpful in my piano journey. I was able to learn bit by bit and practice whenever I can without too much pressure of trying to learn a lot at a time. Taryna is very patient and encouraging for me to keep going, she has also been flexible whenever things come up for me, as someone with a full time job who's also trying to keep up with a side skill. Taryna is the best online teacher that I have had. Even though I am learning guitar online, she makes the lessons fun and make sure to keep me engaged and always check that I understand everything.
Taryna is an amazing teacher! I've been taking piano and guitar lessons with her for a couple of months and have made so much progress! She makes the lessons fun and is always willing to demonstrate the material to me whenever I need it. I have always wanted to be able to read sheet music in piano and she helped me achieve that goal. In guitar she uses all of my favorite songs in her lessons. I definitely recommend her lessons to anyone who wants to learn and enjoy the process!
Taryna was my in-person guitar teacher for more than a year. She is an incredibly patient and uplifting teacher. She was willing to teach me the songs that I personally enjoy and willing to carefully work with me whenever I struggled with certain chords and finger-pickings. Even after I was no longer able to take her classes due to my schedule becoming too busy, she recommended a video to help me with bar chords. 100% recommend.
My daughter loves taking piano lessons with Taryna! She is always patient and encouraging my daughter to do her best.
