About Leah
I am a Journalism graduate with a strong academic background in English Literature and a passion for helping students develop their confidence, writing ability and analytical skills.
I achieved an A in A-level English Literature, an A in GCSE English Literature and an A in GCSE English Language, and I also completed a year of university-level English Literature study alongside my journalism degree. My background has given me a strong understanding of how to analyse texts, build persuasive arguments and communicate ideas clearly.
Alongside my studies, I have previous tutoring experience and understand that every student learns differently. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their ideas and improving at their own pace.
My experience in journalism has strengthened my research, writing and editing skills, which I bring into every lesson to help students not only improve their grades but also become more confident writers.

I offer supportive, personalised GCSE and A-level English Literature lessons designed to help students build confidence, improve their analytical skills, and achieve their academic goals.
As a Journalism graduate with a strong background in English Literature, including completing a year of university-level English study and achieving an A at A-level English Literature, I understand what makes a strong essay and how to develop thoughtful, well-structured arguments.
My lessons focus on:
Developing essay structure and critical analysis skills
Understanding texts and exploring themes, characters and context
Improving exam technique and answering questions effectively
Building confidence with written expression
Helping students plan, edit and refine their work
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, whether they need support understanding a text, improving their grades, preparing for exams, or simply gaining more confidence in English Literature.
My aim is to make English Literature feel more approachable while helping students develop the skills they need to succeed both in exams and beyond.
