About Andrew
I am a Civil Engineer MEng graduate from the University of Nottingham, currently working as a graduate geotechnical consultant. I have a strong background in mathematics, including A-Level Maths at A*. I use mathematics regularly in professional engineering practice. I enjoy tutoring because I find it rewarding to see students grow in confidence and succeed through guidance and support. Alongside my role, I also act as an ambassador, promoting civil engineering and encouraging students into STEM subjects.

My lessons are designed to help students improve confidence, accuracy and exam performance through clear explanations and structured problem-solving. We focus on exam-style questions and past papers, working step by step to understand methods and how marks are awarded. I share useful tips and strategies to approach questions efficiently and avoid common mistakes. I have particular experience with Edexcel GCSE and A-Level Maths. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, exam board and target grades.
