About Noumaan
I have been teaching for over 5 years and have encountered many various students with countless different learning styles. For me as a practitioner I garner enjoyment from researching new methods of teaching when trying to help a student who is still struggling despite my best efforts. The sense of enjoyment I feel when a student finally ‘gets it’ is unprecedented and is the main reason I became a teacher. I completed my teacher training at UCL which is the #1 institution in the world for teaching. I have been a teacher of mathematics ever since. I primarily teach GCSE students and so I am very familiar with the content specifically the Edexcel specification, but I am also able to teach other specifications competently.

Everyone learns differently and over my teaching career I have learnt how to tailor my content to suit my student’s needs. I like to teach in either one hour or two hour sessions focusing particularly on GCSE and KS3. I promote understanding and mastery so that students are better prepared when tackling the harder problem-solving questions. I have taught mathematics in schools for many years and have become adept at recognising and avoiding misconceptions before they are made. I believe in practical mathematics and relating it to real life, as I find that helps students understand mathematics more easily. I have a large bank of resources that has been accumulated over my career all at the disposal of my students.
