About Sophie
I have chosen to be a maths tutor because I have a passion for maths and appreciate seeing people succeed. Since year 11 I have helped my friends and siblings to achieve topics, they found challenging which I find rewarding as they initially didn’t think they were going to understand it. Throughout year 10 and 11, I appreciated my maths teacher for helping me to achieve the best I could in my GCSE even outside of lessons. I liked the way she taught and controlled the class and helped students regardless of the grade they were working towards.

I offer 1-to-1 in person tutoring to help students build their confidence and achieve their goals. My sessions are personalised to each student so they can get the most out of every lesson. Alongside tutoring I work in childcare which has given me experience to help explain things clearly and build confidence and trust with students, especially those who find school challenging. Sessions are located either in a quiet room in an office in Epsom town or in my quiet home cabin.
