I enjoy engaging in a range of approaches when teaching. Whether it is helping a student prepare relevant revision materials or reading through draft answers a student has written and offering feedback. My lessons follow the plan of a starter activity, then a main activity and a conclusion, to ensure a student has understood what they have learned during the lesson. Although, I did not study English as part of my degree, I do have English Literature A-Level which has provided me with a range of transferrable skills that I am keen to pass on and help others develop! I am looking to teach online via video call and would be confident teaching up to GCSE level.
I have a degree in German and History. During my time at university I completed a year abroad where I studied in Berlin for six months and then worked in Duesseldorf. I have experience of working with students as I took part in the History Volunteering Scheme at university where I taught History to primary school children. I was an ambassador for the Culture, Languages and Area Studies department, where I developed a clear understanding of approaches. I was also an English Ambassador and History Ambassador during high school, where I helped lead sessions.
