About Ray
I’ve been speaking German for over 40 years and spent 15 years living in Germany, so the language has been a big part of my life for a long time. I also studied German in school and at university, giving me both practical and academic experience.
I enjoy helping students understand German in a way that actually makes sense, whether they’re working towards the Junior Cert or Leaving Cert. I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I adapt lessons to suit each student’s level and goals.
My aim is to build confidence and make German feel more manageable, and maybe even enjoyable!

I offer German grinds for Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students, focusing on grammar, comprehension, written work and exam preparation, including oral practice. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level, with an emphasis on building confidence and improving results.
Whether a student needs extra support or wants to aim for higher grades, I provide clear explanations and a supportive learning environment.
