About Sampad
I am Sampad, currently a PhD student at USC, Los Angeles. I am deeply passionate about teaching and have been teaching since my undergraduate studies. My teaching deviates from the standard because instead of the definitions, I start with the problems that the student is asked to tackle and with some guidance, the student themselves arrive at the definitions and the relations between them naturally, just like the subject would have been discovered the first time. It brings in the sense of joy in explorations instead of the hatred people have towards authoritative teaching styles where you begin with the definitions and then solve problems because you must use the definition and theorems somewhere.

If you wished you were good at any of the following, maybe you were right - engineering stands on the solid foundations of mathematics and physics and that foundation is necessary for appreciating Machine Learning and other modern engineering topics.
