About Ahmed
I am a dedicated and reliable GCSE Maths tutor who takes teaching seriously and always puts the student’s progress first. With strong grades in both GCSE Maths and Further Maths (Grade 8/A) and current study of A-Level Maths, I bring up-to-date knowledge and a clear understanding of what exam boards expect. I prepare thoroughly for each lesson, use proven teaching methods, and stay patient and supportive throughout the session. My aim is to make every student feel confident, motivated, and fully prepared for their exams. I teach GCSE Maths in a simple, structured, and exam-focused way. My lessons begin by breaking down each topic into clear steps, making sure the student fully understands the core idea before moving to harder exam-style questions. I use active learning techniques — such as asking the student to explain their thinking, completing worked examples together, and practising targeted past-paper questions — to build confidence and accuracy. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, split into three parts: quick warm-up questions, main topic teaching, and exam-style practice with feedback. I also set short optional homework to help consolidate the lesson. I achieved Grade 8 (A) in both GCSE Maths and GCSE Further Maths, and I am currently studying A-Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry, which allows me to explain topics from a deeper perspective while still connecting them to GCSE level in a simple way. My lessons are ideal for GCSE students in Years 9–11, including those who want to improve their grades, build stronger foundations, or aim for top grades. I teach completely online through Zoom, making lessons flexible and accessible.
