About Shaaraw
Hi! I'm a current Engineering student at UNSW with a passion for helping students succeed in the IB. Having achieved a 7 in both IB Chemistry and IB Physics, I understand the challenges of the program and the strategies required to perform at the highest level.
As someone who completed the IB recently, I can relate to the pressures students face and provide guidance that is both current and practical. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence and develop a genuine understanding of the subjects.
I pride myself on being approachable, patient, and reliable. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and challenging themselves. Whether you're aiming to master difficult concepts, prepare for exams, or receive guidance on your IA or EE, I'm committed to helping you reach your goals.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, interactive, and highly personalized. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching methodology to suit each individual's learning style, strengths, and academic goals. I focus on developing a deep conceptual understanding rather than memorization, helping students build confidence, think critically, and apply their knowledge to unfamiliar IB-style questions.
Lessons are engaging, supportive, and designed to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenging concepts. My aim is to make Chemistry and Physics more approachable while equipping students with the problem-solving skills, exam techniques, and confidence needed to achieve their full potential.
I achieved a 7 in both IB Chemistry and IB Physics and am currently studying Engineering at UNSW. Having recently completed the IB Diploma, I have an up-to-date understanding of the current syllabus, assessment criteria, and what examiners look for in high-scoring responses. I can also provide guidance on Internal Assessments (IAs), Extended Essays (EEs), and overall IB study strategies, helping students refine research questions, strengthen methodology, analyze data effectively, and maximize marks according to the IB rubric.
My lessons are suitable for IB Chemistry and IB Physics students at both SL and HL levels, whether you're looking to strengthen your understanding of the syllabus, improve your grades, prepare for final examinations, or work towards achieving a 7.
