About SHEILA
With 20 years of teaching experience, I understand the importance of finding the learning styles of each student. Lessons will be taught in a way that students feel comfortable and in the learning style they learn the best. Students should feel comfortable asking questions because that is the way we all learn. My tutoring style is very laid back, but my expectations are high for everyone. I believe that we will work as a team (teacher, student and parents) and together everyone achieves more.

I love to teach using hands on activities that engage students and get them excited about learning. All of my teaching experience has been in middle school, grades 6-8. Interactive lessons will be used so that students become involved in their learning and want to learn more. Lesson plans and "homework" will be done together with teacher and students. Reading is my passion and I love to see students find the genre they love and get excited about reading.
