Algebra 1 is fun. Try this problem:
What is the product of (x + 1) (2x + 3)?
Use this acronym, FOIL.
To solve this problem:
F stands for first two terms: x times 2x = 2x squared
O stands for the outside terms: x time 3 = 3x
I stands for the inside two terms: 1 time 2x = 2x
L stands for the last two terms: 1 times 3 = 3
Add the answers above:
2x squared + 3x + 2x + 3 = 2x squared + 5x + 3
Now you know how to multiply two binomials!
