I use the methods like 1st to skim the given text and then to scan and then atlast to completely understand the text with the complete meaning and then to study. this make the student feel easy to understand the given text.i would start the class with general topic about the recent happening of the student and engage with him/her to adopt to the environment and start the class. My approach will be kind and friendly. my classes are intended to school children and also even adults.
