About Theo
I am a friendly and approachable teacher who truly loves history! I studied history at university out of passion and while I finished my degree more than a year ago, I still read and engage with history regularly in my spare time. I believe I have a unique perspective as a tutor since I went from being a very average GCSE and A level student (receiving mostly C's), to, with the help of some great professors, being a very high scoring university student. Of the countless essays I wrote I scored 74 or higher on 95% of them, my dissertation was scored 80. I know what a top scoring essay looks like and the thought process that goes behind writing one.

-Each lesson will be structured around a topic/essay question. In most cases, this will be an assignment the student is working on; however, I can also provide a topic or practice essay question. -My lessons are interactive. I provide quizzes and writing tasks to keep students engaged. -I tailor each lesson to the needs of the student I am working with. I don't want to lecture the student, rather teach them how to approach their assignments, giving them the tools to write great essays independently.
