Whilst my expertise is in virology and infectious diseases, I am an enthusiastic tutor of microbiology and biological science. As such I am open to tutoring students through their Biology GCSE, AS, or A Levels, as well as those completing their undergraduate degrees in biological science, microbiology, or biochemistry.
I base my classes on what the individual needs help with whether it be total beginner level (primary) or more advanced and make it as relaxed as possible as I know not every student thrives in a classroom environment and prefers somewhere more calm.

My lessons are aimed towards those at the GCSE, A level and university level. This could include the likes of Paul's Missionary Journies, Islam and other Old Testament and New Testament themes. The first lesson will always be about me understanding the aims of the student, as in, what is it you want to focus on or improve on? This will allow me to truly prepare for the lessons ahead.
Since I taught myself the language I have built up a collection of different books as well as a series of books which really made the process of the learning Japanese a whole lot easier. I have found different strategies which have made a difference in my ability to learn the language and I aim to pass on that knowledge.
I enjoy helping pupils find personal ways of remembering information and increasing confidence to approaching new and tricky exam questions. I benefitted from tutoring in P7 in an attempt to improve confidence, reduce nerves and improve results through extra practice and support.
I don't plan to do classic lessons and would rather hold conversations with my student, on specific topics to learn some vocabulary at the same time. For the writing part, we'd exchange letters so that you can practice both writing and understanding, as well as the pronounciation of the words you read.
I believe it is important to make learning fun for children, this is particularly crucial when teaching young children. I like to link teaching topics to a child's interests when possibly to engage the child. Through my experience it is important to first consolidate a child's previous learning to ensure they do not have any misconceptions.
For those who may find maths difficult, I show why and not just how a problem can be solved. For examination students, I have a bank of past papers from various examining bodies.
I base my classes on introduction to the topic.
As I have completed my GCSEs quite recently, I know that talking about a topic and completing worked examples together etc can help and as I'm a similar age to GCSE students, I am able to empathise with them.
My teaching method can be altered to suite the individual. I believe everyone had different ways of learning and it is vital that they are supported and guides through the learning process.
Depending on the individual my teaching method changes, but I take a very hands on and fun approach as I believe the more you do something the better you will become especially if you are enjoying it and actually interested
My teaching methods is to give the student different examples of learning styles and can then help them work on and improve their current method to accommodate the learning styles which best suit them in a fun but effective way.
My first class would be more of an introduction to the overall chemistry/biology lessons, I'll get to know where you feel you're struggling an work around them areas
I approach each topic focusing on each point, grammar specifically is simplified to understand usage and conjugations.
In the classroom I have used different methods but I would be speaking to the student individually to help them succeed
In the classroom I have used various methods but doing 1 to 1 I will sit down and work individually
I like to spend time with each student finding out their strengths and weaknesses. I tailor the curriculum around their needs and their likes.
My approach is based around what works best for the pupil from past experiences but also showing them other methods which I habe used.

With maths it is important to learn the methods for each new topic, when you tackle a quadratic equation with a set method you can do them all. Repetition is key! Learning how my student learns is also important. If you are a kinetic learner i adapt to this.

I ensure that units and lessons are well-planned and that they have clear aims and objectives. This enables pupil's to track their progress in relation to where they are and where they should be. I also like to ensure that the style of my lesson and level of work is pitched appropriately to the pupil's individual needs.
