About Aitana

Hello! My name is Aitana, and I'm 25 years old. I currently live in Valencia, Spain, where I graduated in Classical Philology from the University of Valencia. With nearly a decade of experience in private tutoring, I have had the privilege of helping students reach their academic goals in subjects like Latin and Ancient Greek. In addition to teaching Spanish, I also work as a teacher of Latin and Greek to high school students, preparing them for both their exams and future studies. Throughout my career, I have always been committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. I believe that a solid educational foundation is crucial for success, and my goal is to guide each student with patience, dedication, and professionalism. I understand that learning a new language or mastering classical languages can sometimes be challenging, but with the right approach and encouragement, every student can thrive. My background in Classical Philology not only strengthens my linguistic skills but also gives me a deep understanding of language structure, which I use to help my students build a strong foundation in Spanish. With almost 10 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students, from beginners to advanced learners, always adapting my methods to meet their specific needs and goals. As a tutor, I aim to inspire confidence in my students, ensuring that they feel supported every step of the way. I take great pride in maintaining professionalism and delivering lessons that are not only effective but also engaging and enjoyable. You can trust that I will provide a high-quality learning experience tailored to your needs, whether you're studying for an exam, improving your conversational skills, or diving into Spanish for the first time.

My Approach as a Spanish Tutor

As a Spanish teacher, my goal is to offer a personalized and dynamic approach that caters to the specific needs and objectives of each student. I believe that learning a language should be an engaging and practical experience, so I design my lessons to be interactive, balanced, and student-centered.

Teaching Method and Techniques
I use a blend of communicative and academic approaches, ensuring that my lessons are both effective and enjoyable. My teaching methodology includes:

Communicative approach: Prioritizing real-life use of the language in everyday situations, emphasizing conversation and interaction.
Task-based learning: Incorporating practical activities that simulate real-world contexts, such as debates, role-plays, or text analysis.
Grammar and vocabulary in context: Teaching grammar in a contextualized way, not as isolated rules, but as part of real-life situations to ensure students understand how to use it in daily life.
Multimodal resources: I incorporate audiovisual materials, current news articles, music, and literature to make lessons more engaging and diverse.
Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson is designed to maintain a balance between different language skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar. A typical class includes:

Review and warm-up: We start with a brief review of the previous lesson or a light conversation to activate the language.
Introduction of new content: Whether it's vocabulary, grammar, or sentence structures, we tackle it in a practical and visual way.
Active practice: Students apply the new knowledge through exercises, games, or interactive activities.
Closing and reflection: We reflect on what has been learned, and I assign tasks to reinforce the material covered.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
What sets me apart as a teacher is my ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student. My approach is flexible and goal-oriented, but I always maintain a relaxed and supportive environment. I strive to create a positive learning atmosphere where students feel comfortable making mistakes, as I believe this is an essential part of the language learning process.

Who Are My Lessons For?
My lessons are designed for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced. Whether you're just starting to learn Spanish or looking to perfect your skills, my lessons will help you progress with confidence. I also work with students preparing for official exams, such as DELE or SIELE, as well as those who want to improve their professional or academic Spanish.
