About George
My name is George Van Der Byl. I am a musician, composer and arranger who has also always worked with children, whether in adventure playgrounds, youth clubs or youth orchestras.
My goal is to subvert the expectation that music education has to be boring and difficult before it gets fun. We learn by doing, and enjoying what we do!

Lessons for children aged 5 to 16, or up to GCSE/grade 5 level (ABRSM). I provide lessons in classical, rock/pop and jazz styles.
I like to find what method works best for each individual as I believe everyone learns differently. Children deserve to enjoy music and learning, and to not be put off by huge workloads and boring lessons.
