About Wesley
My name is Wesley Nichols and I have recently graduated from Missouri Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I've always been passionate about singing and songwriting, as well as being in several ensembles and larger choirs in my area. I've worked with students my age while obtaining my degree and have studied vocal performance under both Dr. Steven Jepson and Dr. Jason Mallory through my time at university. I have training in multiple styles of music, including beatboxing! I enjoy pop and jazz the most, but am more than willing to work with any other genre a student might be interested in. Some of my favorite artists are Michael Buble, Pentatonix, and NF, and I am happy to be able to bring my knowledge of vocal technique and performance to any upcoming artist or performer!

I am able to do warm-ups with students and can help with any piece of music the student is currently working on. In a typical lesson I will help the student warm-up, methodically run through the current piece they are learning, and evaluate how well they are performing and give positive feedback on what to work on and how to sound more like the style or genre they are going for. I can also give lessons on vocal percussion, or beatboxing, and have been doing vocal percussion since high school. I cater to each student's needs and am flexible with any repertoire I am presented with. As a tutor, I will foster a positive learning environment while focusing on technique, style, and performance aspects of each individual piece.
