About DORUK
Hi, I'm Doruk, a second-year Master's student in Data Science at Sapienza University of Rome.
I did my bachelor's in Physics at METU (Middle East Technical University), one of Turkey's top technical universities. Math and physics have been the core of my studies ever since: calculus, linear algebra, probability and mechanics are tools I now use every day in machine learning and data analysis.
I've helped classmates and other students with math and physics informally for years, and I've learned that most difficulties come from concepts that were never explained clearly. I focus on making ideas intuitive, so you understand why things work instead of memorizing formulas. That understanding is what makes exams easier and the knowledge last.
I'm patient, organized and adapt my approach to each student, whether you need help with high school math and physics, IB/IGCSE exams or university courses like calculus, statistics and physics.
I teach in English and also speak Turkish.

Maths and physics lessons in English, from high school to university level
Lessons are one-to-one and adapted to your level and goals, whether you're preparing for an exam (IB, IGCSE, A-Level, high school finals or university courses) or just want to finally understand a topic.
How a lesson works:
We start by finding exactly where you're stuck, not by repeating what you already know.
I explain each concept step by step, with clear examples and visual intuition, not just formulas.
We solve exercises together, then you try similar ones on your own while I guide you.
After the lesson, I can send you practice problems so you keep improving between sessions.
Subjects: algebra, functions, calculus, probability and statistics, linear algebra, and mechanics and other high school and first-year university physics.
Format: online via Google Meet or Zoom with a digital whiteboard, or in person in Rome.
The first lesson is a chance to get to know each other and set a clear plan for your goals.
