About TK
I started at the age of 15, and went on to complete my Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Music, focusing on piano performance. I keep up with my daily practice and social media content management on top of my teaching and accompaniment schedule. I conduct student concerts, solo recitals, and lecture recitals. I believe music is a very rewarding skill to learn. It builds patience, creativity, and confidence.
Patience: Slow down and trust the process. Teaching your hands to cooperate, using your brain to tell your fingers to move in different ways to make that melody sing.
Creativity: Adjusting nuances when playing to find your desired way of playing. Coming up with methods to solve technical obstacles when learning something new.
Confidence: Every time you learn a new piece or fix a small passage, you realize that you can improve. You begin to handle challenges systematically, and this also builds tenacity!

Work towards your goals: from soundtracks to audition repertoire. 10+ years of teaching experience, students from 5 to retirees. Tailored lessons include range of activities from flashcards and memory games to advanced technical and aural exercises.
I advocate for understanding of fundamentals for both casual and serious learners: our end goal is to be able to apply everything we've learnt on a new piece by ourselves, without the reliance of a teacher (that could be me!)
