About Raheel
Hi! My name is Raheel, and I’m a Math and Science tutor with a degree from Sheffield Hallam University. I specialize in helping students prepare for the Junior Cert and Leaving Cert exams here in Ireland. I’ve always had a passion for Math and Science—not just because of the logic and structure behind them, but because of how they help us make sense of the world. More importantly, I’ve learned that everyone can understand these subjects with different explanations, at the right pace for them. and in the way that suits them. That’s what inspired me to become a tutor. I know that school can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when exams are around the corner. My goal is to make these subjects less stressful, more manageable, and even enjoyable. Whether you're aiming for top marks or just trying to pass with confidence, I’m here to support you. I love seeing that moment when a topic clicks—when something that once seemed difficult finally makes sense. That’s what makes teaching so rewarding for me. Some key aspects of my teaching approach include: Curriculum-focused preparation: All lessons are aligned with the Irish curriculum for Junior and Leaving Certificate exams, ensuring students are fully prepared for what they'll face. Breaking down complex topics: I simplify difficult material using step-by-step explanations, visual aids, and real-world examples. Active learning: I engage students with questions, worked examples, and practice problems to build confidence and independence. Tailored lessons: I adapt lessons to suit each student’s pace and learning style—whether they need revision, support with a tricky topic, or exam strategy. Regular feedback and revision: I provide ongoing feedback and incorporate review sessions to reinforce learning and track progress. Typical Length of a Lesson Standard lessons are 60 minutes, ideal for covering a topic in depth and practicing exam-style questions. For intensive revision or deeper focus, I also offer 90-minute sessions. Shorter 30–45 minute sessions are available for quick revision or younger students.
