About Cathryn
I began to play the piano when I was a child and was lucky enough to have teachers who really inspired me to practice and learn. This is why I believe that a teacher who is going to create a positive atmosphere for students to learn and grow as musicians is essential.
I have been playing the piano ever since. At Guildhall I studied classical French Horn but I never stopped playing the piano and believe it is so useful for people to learn, which is why I love teaching it so much.

Everybody is different so I believe that every student requires a slightly different approach to their learning. Whether this means focusing on different aspects of technique or working on musical ideas. The average length of a lesson is one hour however, this can be changed depending on the students' needs.
I have just graduated from the Guildhall School of Music where I received some training in effective teaching as well as lots of experience with music services and teaching to people of all ages and abilities. I am very accepting of any ages and abilities so don't let that hold you back!
