About Cambel
I am a Law student looking to share my knowledge about reading and writing with younger students. I have extensive experience in analytical research essays as well as critical thinking. I enjoy meeting with students regarding their essays; my main tactic is to challenge students on their thoughts throughout their essay to stimulate critical thinking skills that essay markers are looking for. I can offer insight to students on what universities are looking for in an essay. I have served as a university counsellor as well as a writing centre representative. Additionally, I am an International Baccalaureate graduate and have experience writing essays similar to A-levels, Advanced Placement, and IB essays.

I will learn the writing style of the person I am tutoring first. Depending on the genre of writing required, I like to discuss the topic of the essay to stimulate critical thinking skills to meet the analytical requirement essays require. I pose questions about the writer's writing style as I feel this is very helpful for students to remain on track with the purpose of the essay. I can teach anyone from ages 10-18. A typical lesson length will be an hour. I am qualified to teach English lessons as I have served in several writing centres to advise on English writing skills. For students learning how to read and write in English, I like to assess the current knowledge of the student. From there I structure a plan to build upon current knowledge.
