About Macy
I have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education, and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Initial Certification from the University of Kentucky. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA, receiving awards for the essays I have written in class. Additionally, I have worked as a substitute teacher in many local schools, so I have experience delivering instruction to diverse students whose ages range from 12-19. I am bubbly and I love to talk about English, so lessons with me will be entertaining and uplifting!

During tutoring sessions, I love to draw on your strengths and make English relevant to your life! Every story has a theme, and every theme can be made relatable one way or another. My sessions help build interest in different stories by putting them into terms everyone can understand. From there, we will focus on building strengths in weak areas. We can learn about outlining a paper, reading quickly, or remembering grammar rules. Above all, I aim to make sessions informative but casual and low-stress.
