About Lakisha

I am a passionate, patient, and dedicated educator who truly believes that every child has the ability to learn and succeed when given the right support and encouragement. I currently teach kindergarten and serve as a Kindergarten Team Lead, where I help develop lesson plans, implement instructional strategies, and support student achievement.

My teaching style is engaging, nurturing, structured, and student-centered. I enjoy using hands-on activities, multisensory learning, differentiated instruction, and targeted interventions to meet students at their individual learning levels. I have experience supporting students in reading, phonics, writing, and mathematics, including students who need additional academic intervention.

One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is building positive relationships with my students. I work hard to create an environment where children feel safe, confident, encouraged, and excited to learn. I celebrate their progress, help them work through challenges, and encourage them to always give their best effort.

For me, teaching is more than helping students master academic skills. It is also about building confidence, developing independence, and helping children discover that they are capable of achieving great things.
