I learned English with a traditional classroom method and it was not enough, so I started teaching myself through music and movies and talking with tourists from other countries. I eventually joined the Au pair program to expand my knowledge and understanding of the language, the interaction with the native speakers made me forget about the shame and embarrassment of speaking and reading words that I have never heard before. It was so empowering learning to pronounce properly and making myself understand. And the best part of all… I could tell jokes in another language!My teaching methods include: repetition, writing, using examples from daily tasks to understand the meaning of words and slang. Using music as a tool to strengthen vocabulary and encouraging reading books.Games are also my favorite way of learning and teaching.
