About Sam
I discovered sociology at 17 by accident, having been rejected by the other subjects I wanted to study at A-Level. When I finally sat down in my first lesson I was hooked, and realised I wanted to do sociology for the rest of my life. I have since pursued sociology right through to Master's degree level, and am currently applying to a PhD. Social theory is my passion, and helping people to understand complicated concepts and how to apply them to particular phenomena is my pleasure. I look forward to working with you, whether you’re studying your A-Levels and need help with the tricky social theory, or you’re at degree level and need help with your essays and readings!

I take pride in being able to work with you with patience and respect, we will be equals in my lessons, and I will take plenty of time to make sure you understand everything that we cover. If something isn’t quite making sense, it’s my belief that I need to find the right way to explain for you, rather than make you adapt to my teaching style!
