About Serge
Hi, I'm Serge.
I study medicine at Swansea University. One day I'd like to become a GP.
I have a degree in Classics (BA), the study of Latin and Ancient Greek.
I started tutoring because I really enjoy teaching those languages, but once I got a taste for tutoring I started doing science as well.
I didn't do much science at school, so I had to teach myself a lot! I now want to share my methods of learning with others.
As well as science and Classics, I also offer help with GAMSAT, the medical school entrance exam.

Online teaching is my specialty. We choose a topic, select a series of learning outcomes, go through them one by one, then revisit them all at the end of the lesson.
My methods are evidence-based: by breaking topics down into simple, key points, and revisiting those points regularly, memorisation and understanding are optimised!
For online sessions I create bespoke teaching slideshows which I draw on as we go along (like Khan Academy). I encourage discussion and questions.
I can recommend and sometimes provide external learning tools, like videos and exam past papers.
