I ask students to say which areas they would like to improve on and things they want to learn and listen to examples of their work so they can be guided as to where I feel they can improve, then offer tips and methodical practices to achieve industry ready music. I will show before and after examples when teaching Eq, compression, reverb etc as its one thing to know what a plugin does but you need to hear wether its making the sound better or worse.
With sound design I can cover bass, drums, pads, fx, leads and explain the fundementals of developing sounds from nothing. Also covering experimental techniques for students looking to develop a unique sound.
