I teach school students to understand concepts in science which help students.
I found that when concepts of science are explained in further detail, students find it much easier to apply their knowledge to questions.
Using practice questions to assess what has been learnt and working on students weak areas is key.
I graduated in BSc Pharmacology in 2015 and have always had a passion to study and teach science.
I started off with teaching siblings during their GCSEs and then students. I found that when concepts of science are explained in further detail, students find it much easier to apply their knowledge to questions.

Through my initial training, I have gained the essential understanding of what it is like to work with a multidisciplinary team. A fundamental part of my training included tailored classes and teaching on communicating with different people. Using role-play with professional actors in these classes helped me gain confidence in the way I communicate and relay information in a simple and efficient manner.

QMU Health Sciences Volunteer (2012 - 2014)
Together with a variety of health scientist (Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians and Nurses) studying at QMU, we volunteered at events held at QMU where we can apply our learned skills. We had visits from school kids and showed them how to record diet diaries, how to use certain equipment along with running laboratory classes for them. During this experience, I learnt to engage with younger people and by working as part of a team we managed to increase their knowledge and give them an insight into enjoyable Health Science. This was a great experience, which allowed me to demonstrate me learnt skills.
