About Patrick
I have 8 years of experience in teaching on the high school level, and several years of teaching adult learners as well. I have a Master's in English and Literature, and have published essays in academic journals as well as more informal SEO pieces for Collider. I have translated Beowulf and several long Anglo-Saxon poems from Old English, and taught all 4 levels of high school Latin. I am also an IEW and VIRTUS certified teacher.

As much as possible, I teach socratically, because experience has taught me that connections students can make in their own mind are far more effective than anything I could attempt to jam in in a lecture format. My teaching style is designed to foster those connections. I have 8 years of experience in teaching, and my lessons are open to high school and college students, adult learners, and occasional bright middle school students looking to push themselves.
