My approach as a tutor is to hear what your needs are as a student, where you're struggling, what you excel at, and create a plan to help you in problem areas, while fostering the areas where you succeed. A typical lesson plan would look like: explaining to me what you need help with (homework assignment, essay writing, etc.) and what the expectation is for the assignment. Then, I will ask thought-provoking questions to get you thinking and coming up with ideas. We will work on the assignment together, using your own words, and my guidance. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I do not have a "one size fits all" method. I want to tailor each tutoring experience to each individual student in order to help them be successful. Additionally, I consider myself a very deep thinker with a sharp eye for grammar, syntax, writing structure, subliminal messaging in texts, and writing analysis. My lessons are for high school students and undergraduate students.
